This is what happens when the door stop / door check / the doodad that is supposed to keep your door from opening too far... breaks. This dent was already there when I bought the truck. I have since replaced the door stop with a new one that I bought from Tucker's Classic Pickup Parts - 1947-'87 Chevy/GMC
